The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy [ACEEE] (say that three times fast) recently put out a list that they compiled containing the best and worst of energy efficient cars.

Number one on the green list is the Honda Civic GX which runs on Compressed Natural Gas [CNG], the number one on the mean list is the Volkswagen Touareg.

Many are probably thinking ‘Prius’ right now, but according to the ACEEE it is the Honda Civic GX which runs on compressed natural gas (CNG). GM coming back with the Camaro, but possibly with a hybrid engine - check it out ..

But buried at the end of the Car Connection piece is the most intriguing development - GM is believed to have assigned a team of engineers to explore adapting its two-mode hybrid drivetrain to the Camaro.It makes sense. GM has clearly shown it believes the best place for hybrid drivetrains is big vehicles with mediocre fuel economy - hence the Yukon and Escalade hybrids - and the company plans to roll out one new hybrid every three months for the next four years.
