R.I.P Buddy Miles

buddymiles.jpgBuddy Miles has died.

He’ll probably best be remembered for his drumming with Jimi Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys, but also played with bands that included The Delfonics, and Electric Flag with Mike Bloomfield.
Along with playing drums he sang vocals for the California Raisins ad campaign in 1986.

He died at the age of 60. No announcement as of yet as to what caused his death.

ABC News: Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller to Retire: “Jimmy Bedford appears in this undated handout photo provided by Brown-Forman. As the Jack Daniel’s brand’s sixth master distiller, Bedford is responsible for making the world-famous whiskey at the Jack Daniel Distillery at the tiny Tennessee town of Lynchburg. He’s been featured as the face behind the product in advertising. And he’s traveled the world to promote the brand. On Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, the 68-year-old Bedford said he’ll retire effective March 31 after working 40 years at the distillery, including the last 20 as master distiller. Top 12 Greenest and Meanest Cars in the USA

9CF336AC-F0B5-499B-B4D1-A739860F6251.jpgThe American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy [ACEEE] (say that three times fast) recently put out a list that they compiled containing the best and worst of energy efficient cars.

Number one on the green list is the Honda Civic GX which runs on Compressed Natural Gas [CNG], the number one on the mean list is the Volkswagen Touareg.

Check out the list to see how your Bentley rates.

Top 12 Greenest and Meanest Cars in the USA : TreeHugger: “So the greenest car in the U.S. is…? Many are probably thinking ‘Prius’ right now, but according to the ACEEE it is the Honda Civic GX which runs on compressed natural gas (CNG). Unfortunately, Honda sells very few of these (about a thousand a year), only in New York and California, and mostly to corporate or government fleets.”
